General Notes: Husband - Henry C. Welsh

He was born on the old family homestead in Connoquenessing township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and was reared beneath the parental roof. He and an older brother later owned that farm. He followed farming from early manhood, and was also interested in oil producing, several wells having been put down on the old farm. In 1891 he purchased his own farm in Penn township, located on it in 1892, and erected a fine residence and other buildings after that time. It was known as the Felix H. Negley farm, contained 100 acres, and was one of the best improved places in the township.
