General Notes: Husband - Andrew Wolfe

His father was the first of this family to come from Germany to America in pre-Revolutionary times. [ONW, 894]

He was of German descent, born in Pennsylvania east of the Allegheny mountains about the close of the Revolutionary war and died there in 1857. [BHCWC, 710]

He came to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in 1825 from York County where he had lived for a number of years.

The first of the family to realize the greater personal advantages to be gained under our form of government, he settled in Adams County, Pennsylvania, after arriving from his early home near Dresden. After the voyage westward across the ocean he found himself in a friendly country, but speaking a strange language. This obstacle did not discourage him, and he immediately started to care for himself by farming. After remaining in Adams County for a number of years he started farther west, finally reaching Greensburg, Westmoreland County. Not long after his arrival in that vicinity he purchased the Christy farm in Salem township, where he lived during the remainder of his life. [ONW, 357]

His death occurred December 5, 1877, at the age of seventy-eight years. [ONW, 357] But he had a son born in 1812, so this must be wrong.
This source appears to confuse this man and his father so the placement of some of the information is speculative.
