General Notes: Husband - Samuel McGrew Brinton


He was educated in the public schools of Patton township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, Millersville State normal school in Lancaster County, and at Duff's business college in Pittsburgh, graduating from the latter institution in 1869. He was for many years an important factor in the public activities of Patton township, where he served as school director, auditor, assessor and in many other capacities. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. and F. & A. M., and belonged to the Pitcairn Presbyterian church.
