General Notes: Husband - Charles C. Johnston


He was reared in Center Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, and obtained his education at the Ridge and Brewster Schools. For eighteen years he engaged in farming in Franklin Township and then returned to the homestead, on which he resided thereafter. For eighteen years or more he was a salesman for the McCormick agricultural machines and later was traveling for the International Harvester Company. He was deeply interested in home enterprises and was one of the stockholders in the Butler County Fair Association.
