General Notes: Husband - Charles F. Hallam

He obtained his educational training in the schools of Washington, Pennsylvania, and was practically reared in the construction business. In partnership with his brother John, he established the Hallam Construction Company, which became the largest concern of its kind in the county. They at times employed as high as 400 laborers and owned seventy-five head of work horses and often found it necessary to hire from twenty to twenty-five extra teams. In politics, Mr. Hallam was identified with the Republican party and took an active interest in all affairs concerning that party.
