General Notes: Husband - Andrew Brest


He came to Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, when a child with his parents, from Washington County.

He was one of the pioneers of Mercer County, Pennsylvania. He was a native of Washington County, Pennsylvania, of German descent, and came to Mercer County in about 1797. He was a soldier in the War of 1812, under Capt. Denniston, having served on two separate occasions, about six months in all.

He was a soldier in the War of 1812. Subsequently he came from Westmoreland to Mercer County, Pennsylvania, where he reared a family, acquired property, and finally passed away.

He and his wife were members of the Methodist Episcopal Church.
