General Notes: Husband - Samuel Breckenridge

He was a fuller by trade, in Southampton Township, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and kept a hotel on the pike. He then removed to the vicinity of Fayetteville, in Greene Township, where he bought 100 acres of land. He was a successful farmer, and added to his land until he had 150 acres.

In early life he was a fuller by trade, but later a farmer and hotel-keeper. In 1843 he purchased the family homestead near Fayetteville, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, the original purchase being 100 acres, to which, finally, fifty more were added. Politically, he was a life-long Democrat, and a prominent citizen of the county. The M. E. Church had in him one of its most devoted adherents and active workers.
