General Notes: Husband - Marks Lowe

He obtained his intellectual training in the common schools of his native place, and after leaving school, followed in the footsteps of his forebears, and adopted the occupation of a farmer. He resided on a farm, known as the old Hays farm, which was situated one mile north of Ruffsdale, and comprised one hundred and twenty-seven acres of fertile farming land. This Mr. Lowe brought to a high degree of cultivation, and it was one of the finest in the township. Politically he accorded allegiance to the Democratic party, and for some time held the office of supervisor.
