General Notes: Husband - William Elliott


He was reared and educated in his native county, and in 1857 located in Raccoon township, Beaver County, Pennsylvania, where he was engaged in farming for seven years. He then located in Greene township, Beaver County, and embarked in mercantile trade, in which he continued thirteen years. In 1878-79 he was engaged in the manufacture of salt in Raccoon township, after which he embarked in the lumber business, in various parts of the county. He was a member of the Methodist church; in politics a Prohibitionist.
