General Notes: Husband - John McKean

He was born in Ireland, and immigrated to America with his parents in 1818, and first settled in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He came to Mercer in 1820, and after learning the brick mason's trade he built many houses, and followed that business until 1869, when he retired, principally because of ill health. He was a sufferer for many years, but was finally relieved by death.
