General Notes: Husband - William Henry Heck


He was an infant in arms when his parents moved to Erie, Pennsylvania, where he was educated and grew to manhood. He learned the machinists' trade and continued in Erie until 1861, when he moved to Warren, Pennsylvania. He was foreman for Brown Brothers for several years, then was in the employ of the Struthers Well Company. He was a genial, whole-souled man, making many friends. He was a Republican in politics, and held important city offices. He was several times elected councilman. He was also collector of taxes for three years.
He was reared in the Methodist faith, but in his latter years became a Presbyterian.
