General Notes: Husband - William Fife

He was born in Fifeshire, Scotland, coming with his parents to America in 1756. He lived with them in Virginia until 1766, then came to Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, where his after life was spent. He inherited a part of his father's estate and became one of the prosperous farmers of Upper St. Clair. The family were all Presbyterians, following the religion of their Scotch forbears.
