General Notes: Husband - Roscoe Elton Hanna

After the death of his parents he resided with his grandparents McCormick.

He was born at Irwin, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he graduated from the high school in 1895. He attended the Western University of Pennsylvania, Allegheny City, Pennsylvania, but did not complete the course, afterward teaching for one year in the Irwin public schools. For about seven months he was employed as a clerk by the Suburban Rapid Transit Street Railway Company, of Pittsburg, and when, at the end of that time, it came under the control of the Philadelphia Company, accepted a position in the treasury department of the latter organization, which he entered in January, 1902. He was a Republican in politics, and a member of the Presbyterian church of Irwin, serving as elder and also teaching in the Sunday school. He was always actively interested in the musical work of the church.
