General Notes: Husband - John W. Peairs

He was born in Elizabeth township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and was reared to a farm life. He bought a farm there but later retired from active management, turning the work over to his sons. He was a staunch Democrat in politics, and a member of the United Presbyterian church.
He and his wife had five children; three survived in 1906.
