General Notes: Husband - Archibald Boyd

He was of Scotch-Irish descent, and was educated in the common schools, learned the business of farming, and worked with his father until he was twenty-one years of age. He then engaged in droving. This he followed until his marriage. He then rented a farm, and worked it for six years. After that he moved to Stewartville, and kept a hotel for one year. He next bought a farm in South Huntingdon township, Westmoreland County. Here he remained for twelve years, when he bought a homestead [in Fayette County?], and here he lived until the time of his death.
He was a Presbyterian in religious connection.
