Hubert Montgomery
Hubert E. Montgomery, 65, of Franklin RD 1 died Sunday morning in Franklin Regional Medical Center.
Born April 24, 1918, in Franklin, he was a son of John Hubert and Alice Kilgore Montgomery.
He married the former Helen Boughner, who survives, on October 29, 1941.
Mr. Montgomery retired in 1980 after a career as an equipment operator with Witherup Construction Co.
He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Franklin.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Daniel L. and H. Carl Montgomery, both of Franklin; a step-son, Merl Boughner of Mercer; 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are his mother, Mrs. Alice Brakeman of St. Petersburg, Fla.; three sisters, Mrs. Frances Schuler of St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Verle (Goldie) Garringer of Burghill, Ohio, and Mrs. Jack (Leila) Brakeman of Stoneboro.
He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Eugene Montgomery; and a sister, Nancy Warrington.
The Robert W. Gardiner Funeral Home of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.
