Greensburg, Westmoreland Co, PA

He was a teacher in the Westmoreland schools, and was graduated from Mount Union College at Alliance, Ohio, in 1876. He was a member of the Greensburg bar, and the author of the Westmoreland portion of the "Twentieth Century Bench and Bar of Pennsylvania," published by Cooper Brothers, of Chicago, 1903.

He was born and brought up near Ligonier, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was a teacher in the Westmoreland County schools, and was graduated from Mount Union College at Alliance, Ohio, in 1876. He was a member of the Westmoreland County bar, and practiced most of the time after his admission.
He was the author of the Westmoreland County part of the "Twentieth Century Bench and Bar of Pennsylvania," published by Cooper Brothers, of Chicago, in 1904. He was also the author of the "History of Westmoreland County," published by the Lewis Publishing Company, of New York, in 1906; also of "A Century and a Half of Pittsburgh and Her People," two volumes, published by the same company in 1908. He was also the author of volumes one and two of the work, "Old and New Westmoreland," published by the American Historical Society of New York City.
