General Notes: Husband - George O. Bossart

He pursued his education in the common schools, while his boyhood days were spent on his father's farm. After his first marriage he purchased a farm about two miles from his later home and there engaged in the tilling of the soil for about one and a half years, when he sold that property and came to another farm, which he cultivated as a renter for his father until the latter's death. He then purchased the property whereon he then resided. He was a breeder of full blooded Jersey cattle, all eligible to registry. For some years he was also engaged in the manufacture of ice cream for the wholesale and retail trade, doing an extensive business in that line through the summer months. In his political views Mr. Bossart was a Republican and for some years was a member of the school board, while in 1902 he was elected as chief burgess of Arona, Pennsylvania. He belonged to the Methodist Episcopal church, in which he took an active and helpful interest, serving as one of the trustees of the church and as superintendent of the Sunday school.
