General Notes: Husband - Dr. Alfred Henry Ziegler


He was educated in the public schools of Butler, Pennsylvania, graduating from the high school in 1900. He then entered the Washington and Jefferson College, and was graduated from the Medical Department in 1906. His interne work was taken at Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a member of the Kappa Sigma and Phi Beta Pi fraternities. In 1907 Doctor Ziegler returned to Butler and began the practice of his profession. He was a member of the Butler County Medical Society, of which he was president and secretary; the Pennsylvania State Medical Society, and the American Medical Association, and was on the staff of the Butler Memorial Hospital.
During the first World War Doctor Ziegler enlisted in the Medical Corps of the U. S. Army and was sent to Camp Greenleaf, and at the time of his discharge from the army was a first lieutenant. In 1924 he took a post-graduate course in medicine at Harvard University.
He was a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, the Sterling Club, Butler Country Club, Kiwanis Club, and was secretary of the Board of Pension Examiners of Butler County.
