General Notes: Husband - James D. Logan
He was educated in the local schools of Manor township, Armstrong County, PA, an academy, and the Iron City business college at Pittsburgh, from which latter institution he was graduated in 1862. He has devoted most of his active years to farming, with very gratifying results and also followed the trade of carpenter, having been employed in that capacity at the Ford City plate glass works for more than twenty years.
He was a member of Odd Fellows Lodge No. 792, of Brady's Bend, and passed all the chairs in that lodge. For many years he was a member of the Presbyterian Church. He served as superintendent of the North Buffalo and Bethel townships Sunday school. When Pennsylvania called for help during the Civil war he enlisted in the 22d Pennsylvania Regiment and went out to defend his state, serving but a short time, however, when his regiment was honorably discharged in 1863.
