Shelbyville, Shelby Co, IN

He received a college education and became a carpenter; later, a ticket agent; telegrapher, and last, assistant cashier of the First Natl. Bank, at Shelbyville, Indiana. He was a leader in the Prohibition party and was nominated Lieut-Gov. on that ticket (1892).
