General Notes: Husband - Andrew Weitz

He came to America about 1850, sailing from the port of Bremen to New York City, and settled in Mahoningtown, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, whither his brother George had preceded him. They kept a meat shop in Mahoningtown for seven years, when Andrew sold his share in the business, and moved to New Castle, where he opened a saloon. After a year he quit that business, and went into the meat business again in Mahoningtown, where he remained until 1865, when he removed to Clinton, Beaver County, where his death took place.
