General Notes: Husband - Rev. John Harris Boggs


He was a Methodist minister.
He was of Revolutionary ancestry, being the grandson of Andrew Boggs, the first white settler in Bald Eagle Valley, in Center County, Pennsylvania, and who in 1780 was Sergeant in Capt. Daniel McClellan's Company, 7th Battalion, Cumberland County Militia.

He and his wife were both living in 1882 at Boone, Boone County, Iowa, with ten living children, with thirty-seven grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
