General Notes: Husband - Frank De Forest Wheelock


He attended the public schools of Freehold and Sugar Grove, Warren County, Pennsylvania, acquiring a practical education. Upon attaining his majority he engaged in the hardware business at Sugar Grove, continuing in the same until 1892, when he went to northern Wisconsin and there served as manager for a lumber company until 1899, when he returned to Sugar Grove and again embarked in the hardware business. He carried a full and complete line of hardware, and in addition dealt in wagons and buggies. He adhered to the principles of the Republican party and was the incumbent of several township and borough offices. He was a member of Stillwater Lodge, No. 547, Free and Accepted Masons, of Sugar Grove, in which he served as worshipful master for ten years.
