General Notes: Husband - Abraham Blatt


He was born in a portion of Union County, Pennsylvania, which later became part of Snyder County.

He was educated at the township schools and learned the trade of a wagon and carriage maker, establishing his own business in 1859. He also added an undertaking business, which he followed for many years. In 1863 he enlisted in Company K, Fifty-fifth Militia, and served three months. He was a member of the Norville Muse Post No. 251, G. A. R., and the Lincoln Lodge No. 54, A. O. U. W. He served the county as director of the poor during the year of 1882; held the office of school director, and served at least three terms as justice of the peace.
