He came to America in the bark “Elizabeth,” which sailed from Ipswich, England, in April, 1634, and arrived at Boston, Massachusetts.
He was made freeman May 6, 1635, settling first at Newtown, now Cambridge, Massachusetts. His first wife died soon after reaching America, in all probability; and he married again.
