General Notes: Husband - Jacob Keefer

This Keefer family came from the state of Maryland into Pennsylvania and settled for a time in the Brush Creek Settlement, Sewickley Township, Westmore-land County, where most of their children were baptized. In the early 1800s they migrated to Beaver Township, Venango County, where the farm was purchased in 1808. Later this area became a part of Clarion County.
It is thought that Jacob Keefer, Sr., died about 1830, since he sold his farm to his son, Jacob, Jr., on Aug. 7, 1825, and then no longer appears on the church records in Beaver Twp., after May 10, 1829. His wife, Anna Catharine, survived him and was diligent in attendance at the Lutheran Church Communion, until May 5, 1839, when she attended communion on the Reform-ed side. She no longer appears on the church records after May 12, 1844. When she died is not known. They are both, most likely buried in the St. Paul Lutheran/Reformed Churches Cemetery, Beaver Twp., Clarion County.
