General Notes: Husband - James Reed

---

He was born on Crab Tree run, in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, and was ten years of age when he accompanied his parents on their removal to Armstrong County, where the later learned the blacksmith's trade.

He and his wife had twelve children, nine sons and three daughters. Four of these died in infancy.
