General Notes: Husband - Hugh Blair

He was born in West Fallowfield township, Crawford county, Pennsylvania, at the farm located four miles north of Hartstown.
He was a farmer, owning in 1885 the farm first settled on by his grandfather, Hugh Blair, the emigrant. He was a rigid Presbyterian, and in political faith a Democrat.

General Notes: Wife - Margaret Calvin

The Calvins were residents of New Jersey, later moving to Virginia, but the daily evidences of the horrors of slavery, to which they were opposed, finally caused them to emigrate, in 1816, to Mahoning County, Ohio. Margaret at the time of this removal was in her seventh year and well remembered the incidents of the journey over the mountains.
