General Notes: Husband - David Mahon

The Mahon family of Franklin County, Pennsylvania, comes from one of the oldest families in the Cumberland Valley. It is of Anglo-Irish origin, and is descended from David and Martha Mahon, of the parish of Ray, in the barony of Raphoe, County Donegal, Ireland. The parish is situated on Lough Swilly. David Mahon does not appear to have emigrated to America, but five of his sons were settled in the old township of Lurgan at the time of the creation of Cumberland County, in 1750
