He was educated in New Wilmington high school, graduating in class of 1902, then went to New Wilmington College four years, and to Medical University of Louisville, Kentucky, graduating as M. D. For one year he was an interne in St. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital, at Louisville, and became a practicing physician at Youngstown, Ohio.
