General Notes: Husband - William Berryhill


He was of Scotch descent, and served as a captain under Gen. Washington throughout the Revolutionary War. After that struggle he settled near Greencastle, Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and followed the blacksmith's trade some years, afterward purchasing a farm where his life was passed.
He was a Federalist in politics, taking an active interest in the affairs of the county. He and his family were members of the Presbyterian Church.


General Notes: Wife - Ruth Steele


She was born in Ireland, and came with her parents to America when only one year old.
