General Notes: Husband - Lewis D. Berry


He received his education in the public schools of Criswell, Pennsylvania, and at an early age entered his father's machine shops. He purchased the business in 1901 and then operated it in a highly successful manner. In 1904 he became interested in oil production and came to own and operates 30 wells in Butler and Armstrong counties. He also owned three large farms. In 1923 Mr. Berry purchased the storage and garage business of Campbell & Byers at Petrolia, which was then known as the Berry Garage & Storage Company. He had five gasoline manufacturing plants, and owned stations at Petrolia and Bradys Bend.
He was a Republican and served as a member of the city council for 20 years. He was affiliated with F. & A. M., Argyle Lodge No. 540; New Castle Consistory, 32nd degree; and Syria Temple, Pittsburgh.
