W. G. Berlin Of Emlenton Dies Sunday
EMLENTON -- William God­frey Berlin Sr., 71, of Emlenton, retired employe of the Quak­er State Oil Refining Corporation, died unexpectedly in his home early Sunday following a heart attack suffered between 4 and 9:30 a. m.
Born in Forest County No­vember 2, 1892, Mr. Berlin was a son of John and Cathryn Ex­ley Berlin.
He and the former Gail Harp­er were married in 1916. She survives.
Mr. Berlin was a member of the Methodist Church of Emlenton. He also was a member of Richland Grange 1413 of Em­lenton RD 1, past president of the Emlenton Rod and Gun Club and a member of the Emlenton Bowling League.
He retired from his job at the Quaker State Refinery in 1957.
Surviving, in addition to his widow, are four sons, William G. Berlin of Emlenton RD 2, Robert L. Berlin of Knox RD, Kenneth Berlin of Erie and Richard Berlin of Emlenton RD; a daughter, Mrs. Paul (Thelma) Steingass of Medina, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Robert (Lola) Fye of Wentlings Corners, Mrs. Charles (Rosa) Dittman and Mrs. Raymond (Margaret) Switzer of Knox RD, and three brothers, Wayne Berlin of Brad­ford and Charles and Samuel Berlin of Knox RD 2, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Friends are being received at the Criswell Funeral Home in Emlenton, where funeral serv­ices will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday. Rev. Harry Speak­man, pastor of the Methodist Church of Emlenton will officiate. Interment will be in Emlenton Cemetery.

Mrs. Gail Berlin, Emlenton, Dies
EMLENTON — Mrs. Gail Rebecca Berlin, 78, of Emlenton died unexpectedly at 2 am Friday at her home.
Born October 4, 1896 in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late William and Matilda McGinnis Harper.
She was the widow of William G. Berlin who died January 12, 1964.
Mrs. Berlin had lived in Emlenton since 1943. She and her husband had lived in many states but settled in Penn­sylvania in 1933.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Emlenton, the Lawrence Bible class, the Lady Emlen Rebekah Lodge 546, the Richland Grange and the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion. Mrs. Berlin is survived by four sons, William Berlin Jr. and Charles Richard Berlin, both of Emlenton; Robert Berlin of Lamartine; and Kenneth Berlin of Erie and one daughter, Mrs. Paul (Thelma) Steingass of Medina, Ohio. She is also survived by 11 grand­children and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Lynn.
Friends will be received at the Robert F. Criswell Funeral Home from 7 to 9 pm today and from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm Sunday. There will be a Rebekah Memorial Service at 8 pm today.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Monday at the funeral home with Rev. Daniel A. Stimson, pastor of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Emlenton Cemetery.
