General Notes: Husband - Elias Berlin


He came with his parents to Forest County, Pennsylvania, and thereafter resided on the homestead. He was extensively engaged in lumbering in connection with farming. In 1883 he established a mercantile business at Whig Hill. He was a Democrat in politics; served as county commissioner for some years, also filled various township offices. He was appointed postmaster in 1884. The family attended the Methodist Episcopal Church.
