He lived most of his life in Conneaut, Erie County, Pennsylvania. He was engaged in selling nursery stock in most of the central states for several years. He was the owner of 125 acres of land, known as the Keep & Randall farms, in Erie County, eighty-five acres in Crawford County, and a nice residence in Albion. He was a P. M. of A., F. & A. M., and was a member of the I. O. O. F.; was a Prohibitionist in politics.
