General Notes: Husband - Daniel Evans

He was born in Caernarvonshire, Wales, and came to America in 1752 with his father, who settled in Vincent township, Chester County, Pennsylvania. He was a schoolmate of Gen. Anthony Wayne, with whom he maintained to the latter's death an intimate friendship. On the general's retreat from Paoli to Warwick Furnace he encamped one night on Daniel Evan's farm.
