General Notes: Husband - William Bell


In 1804 he opened a store at Henderson's (Old Port Royal) in Pennsylvania. In 1807 he moved to Mifflintown and built a log store on the corner of Main and Bridge Streets. He was sheriff of Mifflin County from 1806 to 1809, after which he purchased the island and settled upon it, and died there.
