Robert S. Bell
OIL CITY — Robert S. Bell, 48, of Seneca RD 1, a former employe of the Oil City Sand & Gravel and a World War II veteran, died at 7:05 p.m. Sunday in Oil City Hospital following an extended illness. He had been a patient in the hospital for three weeks.
He was born November 30, 1923, in Reno, a son of Walter C. and Pearl Walters Bell. He was educated in the Cranberry schools.
He and the former Annabelle Dale were married February February 3, 1949. She survives.
Mr. Bell worked for 15 years for the Oil City Sand and Gravel. He had last worked six years ago.
He served as a private in the U.S. Army during World War II, enlisting June 27, 1941, at Oil City. He was a prisoner of war in Germany for 11 months and was discharged Oct. 23, 1945, at Camp Lee, Va. He was a member of Company K, 115th Infantry.
Mr. Bell was a member of the Oil City Eagles.
Surviving along with his wife, Mrs. Annabelle Bell, are his father, Walter C. Bell of [incomplete]

Annabelle A. Bell
Annabelle A. Bell, 67, of 616˝ Bissell Ave., died at 3:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, 1995, in Grand­view Health Care.
Born Nov. 23, 1927, in Syra­cuse, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Walter and Halavern Dale.
Mrs. Bell lived in the Oil City area most of her life.
She formerly was employed by Kessler Cleaners in Oil City.
Mrs. Bell was married Feb. 3, 1949, to Robert Stanley Bell, who died Feb. 20, 1972.
Surviving are two sons, Stan­ley Lee Bell of Mercer, and Clinton Bell of Fort Bliss, Texas; two daughters, Robin Bell of Cranberry and Betty Bell of Oil City; and 10 grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bell was preceded in death by a son, Robert A. Bell.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday in the Jonathan H. Hutchinson Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the fu­neral home with Rev. W. Dale Rhome, retired Free Methodist minister, officiating.
Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.
