Robert E. Bell Sr.
Robert E. "Rattler" Bell Sr., 63, of Cranberry RD 1, died at 5.45 p.m. Sunday, July 12, 1998, in The Caring Place, Franklin.
Born Oct. 26, 1934, in Van, he was a son of Lemont and Mary Nunemaker Bell.
Mr. Bell was a 1952 graduate of Emlenton High School.
He served from 1957 to 1963 in the Army Reserve.
Mr. Bell was employed at Pennzoil in 1954 and worked as a millwright at Chicago Pneu­matic Tool Co., retiring in 1977.
He was a member of the Inter­national Association of Machin­ists and Aerospace Workers Union and the Quarter Century Club of the Chicago Pneumatic Tool Co.
Mr. Bell was an avid out­doorsman, enjoying hunting, trapping and fishing.
He was married Oct. 1, 1954, to the former Dorothy Thomp­son, who survives.
Also surviving are his mother, Mary Bell of Van; a son, Robert Bell Jr. of Cranberry RD 1; two grandsons, William and Robert Pedley of Seneca RD 1; broth­ers-in-law and sisters-in-law; a niece and nephew; and aunts and uncles.
In addition to his father, Mr. Bell was preceded in death by a Robert E. Bell Sr.
a sister, Beverly Jones.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Mor­rison Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the fu­neral home with the Rev. Robert Hrisak, pastor of the Van United Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will be in the Starr Cemetery at Ninevah.
The family suggests memori­als be made to the Rockland Vol­unteer Fire Department or to the Seneca Volunteer Fire Depart- [incomplete]
