General Notes: Husband - Robert Bell

He was born in Beaver County, Pennsylvania, and remained on the home place during his boyhood. When a young man he learned the cooper's trade, which he carried on in connection with farming. He was very well educated for those days, having had the advantage of an academic training, and was an energetic and progressive citizen. In politics he was originally a Whig, afterward uniting with the Republican party. He was a member and trustee of the U. P. Church. He met his death when he was accidentally killed.
