General Notes: Husband - Robert Bell

A tradition in the Bell family of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, is that the John Bell who was governor and United States senator from Tennessee, and who was nominated and ran for President of the United States in 1861, with Everitt, when Lincoln was elected, was the grandson of this Robert Bell. Bell county, Kentucky, was named for members of this family, some of whom served in the War of 1812.
