Ralph E. Bell, 66, of Emlenton RD, died unexpectedly Sunday while visiting neighbors. Mr. Bell was a lifelong farmer.
Born March 27, 1915, at Emlenton RD 1, he was the son of Lyle W. and Eva Shanner Bell.
He married the former Freda Hahn May 19, 1943. She survives.
Mr. Bell, in addition to farming, worked with the state Department of Transportation for 13 years. Also, he did carpentry work in and around Clarion County.
A member of the Nickleville Presbyterian Church, Mr. Bell was a trustee and elder of the church. He was a member of the Richland Township and Allegheny-Clarion, Valley school boards for 18 years.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, James R. Bell of Sanford, Fla., and Harold W. Bell of Rocky Grove; his mother, Mrs. Eva Bell of Emlenton RD 1; a sister, Mrs. Helen Alden of Cran­berry RD; one granddaughter, three step-grandchildren and sever­al nieces and nephews.
The William N. Rupert Mortuary in Knox is in charge of arrange­ments.

Funeral services be held at 11 am Wednesday in the William N. Rupert Mortuary in Knox for Ralph E. Bell, 66, of Emlenton RD.
Mr. Bell, a life-long farmer, died unexpectedly Sunday evening while visiting neighbors.
Officiating at the services will be Rev. Darrell Knopp, pastor of the Nickleville Presbyterian Church.
Interment will follow in the Nic­kleville Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today in the funeral home.
Among Mr. Bell's survivors is a granddaughter, Brianne Bell of Rocky Grove.
