General Notes: Husband - William Cupples

---

He was born in Providence, RI, and from there moved to Pittsburg, PA, with his parents and there received his education. After the death of his father, he left home, and taught school, teach­ing and attending school alternately until he married. They then settled on a farm, whereon he passed the rest of his days. He had a family of ten children, five sons and five daughters, seven of whom were teachers until choosing other pro­fessions.
