James R. Bell
James Reed Bell, 78, of Franklin RD 2, Victory Heights, died at 9:02 am Saturday in the Franklin Regional Medical Center.
Born December 23, 1906 in Cranberry Township, he was a son of the late Stanley J. and Lottie Robison Bell.
He married the former Neva V. Cox on August 4, 1941. She survives.
He spent his entire life in this area, attending the Salina School in Cranberry.
Mr. Bell was employed at the Secony Vaccum Co. (Mooney Chemical) for 29 years.
He served in the armed forces during World War II with the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater aboard the U.S.S. Bailey.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Joseph R. Morrison of Rockland; a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Nancy) Hill of Franklin; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Daniel H. Bell.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the Huff Chapel and until time of funeral services at 1:30 pill Tuesday.
Rev. Roger W. Overmyer, pastor of Victory Heights Church, will officiate.
Interment will be at the Rockland Cemetery.

Funeral services ... at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for James Reed Bell, 78, of Victory Heights, Franklin RD 2, who died at 9:02 a.m. Saturday in the Franklin Regional Medical Cen­ter.
The funeral will be in the Huff Chapel where the family is re­ceiving friends this afternoon and from 7 to 9 p.m. today and of the funeral Tuesday.
Rev. Roger W. Overmyer, pas­tor of Victory Heights Church, will officiate. Interment will be at the Rockland Cemetery.
