A memorial service for James L. "Lenny" Bell, 46, of Brockton, Mass., formerly of the Knox area, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28, in the Faith Church of the Nazarene near Kossuth. Mr. Bell died earlier this month in Brockton.
The Rev. Rip Wright, pastor of the church, will officiate.
Born April 30, 1949, in Perry Township, Clarion County, he was a son of James A. and Joyce C. Hopper Bell.
Mr. Bell was a 1967 graduate of Keystone High School, Knox, and attended Eastern Nazarene College in Quincy, Mass.
He was employed for 20 years at Hendries Ice Cream Co. in Brockton, Mass.
Mr. Bell attended the Community Covenant Church of East Bridgewater, Mass.
He was assistant scoutmaster of Boy Scout Troop 17 in Brockton.
Mr. Bell enjoyed bowling, woodcarving, outdocties and professional automobile races.
He was married Aug. 2, 1969, to the former Jeanne Polley, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Michael P. Bell, and a daughter, Karen E. Bell, both of Brockton, Mass.; and four grandchildren.
He also is survived by his mother, Joyce Bell Reedy of East Brady; two half brothers, Rick Reedy of Grove City and Randy Reedy of Polk; his stepfather, Lawrence Reedy of East Brady; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Bell was preceded in death by his father, James A. Bell, and a brother, Thomas Bell, who died in 1992.
