General Notes: Husband - Charles Wesley Bell

He was educated in the Clarion schools and, like his brother Harrison Elmer, learned the lumbering business under the able tutelage of his father. He was a member of the lumber firm of Bell Brothers. In addition thereto he was treasurer of the East Jellico Coal Company, with which prominent organization he was identified since 1907. In politics he was a stalwart supporter of Roosevelt and the progressive Bull Moose party. He was very deeply interested in public questions, but never aspired to public office of any description. He was a devout member of the Methodist Episcopal church. In the time-honored Masonic order he was a member of Hobah Lodge, No. 276, Free and Accepted Masons; Jefferson Chapter, No. 276, Royal Arch Masons; and DuBois Commandery, Knights Templar.
