Alice L. Kuhns, 85, of 10 Taylor St., Franklin, died at 9:15 p.m. Friday, July 30, 1999, in the Northwest Medical Center at Franklin. Born Feb. 18, 1914, in Cranberry, she was a daughter of John W. and Florence E. Lusher Bell. Mrs. Kuhns was self-employed as a domestic worker, doing house cleaning for several families in the Franklin area. She attended the Oak Hill United Methodist Church. Mrs. Kuhns was a member of the Rocky Grove Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Rockland Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, puzzles and watching television. Mrs. Kuhns was married July 6, 1931, to Benjamin H. Kuhns, who died in February 1972. Surviving are one son, John C. Kuhns of Jackson Center; one daughter, Mrs. Charles (Pauline) Allaman of Shippenville; three grandchildren, Mrs. Kevin (Sharton) Rickert of New Galilee and Mrs. Joe (Karen) Spence and Donald Kuhns, both of Grove City; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She also is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Vern (Ruth) Fischer and Mrs. Dorrie Meehan, both of Seneca, and Mrs. Dale (Lottie) Stormer of Warren, Ohio. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Kuhns was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Kuhns; six sisters, Leona Russell, Edna Haniwalt, Margaret Russell, Dorothy Seyler, Agnes Meehan and Inez Webber; and two brothers, Norman Bell and John Bell. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today in the Robert W. Gardinier Funeral Home, Franklin. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Robinson officiating. Interment will be in Rockland Cemetery.
