General Notes: Husband - Robert Wilson

He migrated to [Indiana County, Pennsylvania?] from South Carolina, and located about 1774, on the land adjoining on the north the farm of Major Nathaniel Nesbitt. The tradition is well preserved in the family of a child being born while the neighborhood was infested with hostile Indians. The following day the mother and infant were placed in a hammock swung between two horses, and conveyed to a fort in the Ligonier valley. He served in the Indian wars, and for two years the family were forced away from their home. Most of his children removed to what later became Clarion County, Pennsylvania, where they were among the earliest settlers.

He came [to Indiana County, Pennsylvania,] from South Carolina in 1775, and settled in what was called the "Loop," one mile below the site of Livermore. He reared a family of ten children.
