General Notes: Husband - James Martin Little

He was a farmer and resided in Cranberry Township, Butler County, Pennsylvania, for many years. He was greatly interested in the schools of that district, and for several years served as director of schools. Later, he removed to Callery, where he was interested in the general mercantile business until a disastrous fire at Callery in 1886. Mr. Little then was appointed postmaster of that place and served in that capacity for many years. He was assisted in this work by his daughter, Margaret M. Little, who continued in the postal work for almost thirty years.
He held membership in the Evans City United Presbyterian Church until his removal to Callery, when he joined the Callery Presbyterian Church, of which he was an elder at the time of his death.
